School cabin hunting trip September and October students from kindergarten to grade 9 will be going to the school cabin on selective dates please the calendar. September 20th - UOFS tour for grade 12 students September 26th - Career Fair grades 9-12 September 26th - Community consultation September 29- Truth and Reconciliation assembly September 30- School closed for Truth and Reconciliation October 2nd - Community Night October 11th - Community Thanksgiving lunch October 14th - No school (Thanksgiving Day) October 31st - Halloween parade
Birch Narrows Dene Community School(PreK-12) currently has a student population of over 220 young people. There is a fitness room, large gym, home economics lab, industrial arts shop, library, computer room, science lab, cultural room and many large classrooms. Innovative programs such as LLRC and Dene classes are just a few of the exciting things going on at this well-organized and productive school.

At BNDCS we are striving to revitalize the Dené Language. We offer Dene classes daily for Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 9 and High School classes. BNDCS utilizes Elders and community members to promote language.
